What is Fantasy Hair?

Who can have Fantasy Hair?

Are you ready to sparkle and shine one strand at a time but worried it’s not right for you? Fantasy Hair is for everyone; there are no age limits! From children to great grandmas, anyone can rock Fantasy Hair! Many ladies will tell me they are too “old”. Let me assure you this, the biggest age group I do private parties for, and see more at my events than children, are the ages between 60 and 75! If you have white or gray hair, I highly recommend silver as it will look like a rainbow in your gorgeous hair!

Do I have to change the way I style my hair?

Absolutely not! You can curl it, brush it, color it, wash it, flat iron, (up to 425°) comb it, straighten it, perm it, blow dry it, get your haircut, etc. Whatever you normally do to your hair, you can do with Fantasy Hair! The only thing that will affect it is a fine-toothed comb, as it catches the ties at the root.

If you plan to use bottle bleach (store bought bleach), get silver. Store bought bleach can strip the color from the Silk strands. However, 8 out of 10 times bleaching will not affect the strands but I still need to put this here as a disclaimer. If you are at least a month out from bleaching, get any color you’d like but keep in mind, that when you bleach, it could turn silver. But it will still be sparkly!

How do I care for my Fantasy hair?

When brushing your Fantasy Hair, make sure you are using a WET brush. It is an inexpensive detangler brush that can be found at any big box store and online at Amazon. Begin brushing from the bottom of your hair, and work your way up. (I personally use a detangler spray called Milkshake that helps the brush glide through my long hair.) As far as styling, there are no restrictions! Fantasy Hair can take heat up to 425º! Fantasy Hair is able to handle the heat, so blow dry, curl, and flat iron away!

How long do they last?

The longevity of Fantasy Hair is dependent on the individual, hair texture, and care. For people over tye age of 10, the average is 2 to 4 months. Children ages 5-9 keep it on average 3 weeks to a couple of months. I do not recommend it for children under 5 years of age.

Disclaimer:

I'm frequently asked about children's hair. Fantasy Hair works best in adult hair. Children's hair follicles are not as mature as adults, meaning they have a tendency to fall out faster. I wanted to give this disclaimer so your expectations are not set as high. However, everyone is different and I've had many clients under the age of 10 who have rocked their Fantasy Hair for a month or longer! We understand that this may not be for everyone. We have found that ladies with fine hair keep it in their hair for a week or two, sometimes less. When the hair the tinsel is tied to falls out, the tinsel will fall out as well.
